At Regions, the Strategic Planning Associate Senior assists management with the development of the enterprise-wide strategic plan that reinforces our culture, provides clear business goals, and drives innovations while ensuring that our financial and strategic objectives are achieved. Supports the leadership team in the strategic planning process including organizing and executing the strategic plan. Supports efforts to partner with corporate business units, business segments and support groups to execute the strategic planning process and achieve strategic objectives.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Assists with strategic and ad hoc analysis on the industry, markets, peers, etc. to support senior management as well as strategic planning and execution
- Aids in the continued development and articulation of the bank’s key differentiating factors, opportunities, and threats in the marketplace
- Analyzes group and business-level plans
- Compiles financial information and market analyses to prepare for appropriate meeting materials and makes relevant recommendations to senior management
- Communicates self-generated information as well as compile, edit, and format content provided by others in the department
- Assists with the management of strategic relationships including those related to equity investment strategies to identify opportunities for long term benefit to the company’s overall strategic plan
- Works with Corporate Development on strategic analysis related to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and other strategic topics
- Keeps detailed records to maintain the department's compliance
- Works independently with guidance in moderate to highly complex situations
- May act as a resource to associates with less experience
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- Seven (7) years of experience in financial services
- Master’s degree
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong ability to work with Microsoft Office Excel and Power Point
- Strong financial acumen including understanding of financial statements and profitability concepts
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated
This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations.
Compensation DetailsPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance. Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
