Job Details DescriptionRole:
Assists members and potential members with their financial needs, opens new accounts, processes account transactions and loan requests, resolves problems, and provides assistance and information regarding products and services.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Assists members and non-members with general to intermediate financial transactions and loan inquiries, including but not limited to business accounts and loans, consumer lending, real estate, credit cards, and other specialty accounts. Resolves problems that are within their authority in a timely manner. Refer problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.
- Underwrites consumer loans, originates & closes real estate loans.
- Post transactions and loan requests accurately and in a timely manner, and maintain records in accordance with credit union policies and guidelines.
- Promotes, explains, and cross-sells credit union products and services, including gap and warranty coverage, credit, and life disability. Anticipates the needs of our members and advises them appropriately.
- May represent the credit union in business partner visits, enrollments, and various civic functions in order to develop additional business.
- Conducts audits of system information and member documents in a timely manner.
- Acts as liaison between members and various departments.
- Provides notary services to members.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience:
One to three years of similar or related experience.
Education:
A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal
Skills:
Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other
Skills:
Must be able to maintain life insurance and NMLS registration. Must be able to utilize various electronic systems to obtain and enter information. Must demonstrate strong public contact and communication skills. Must demonstrate good judgment skills in order to resolve member issues and to offer other services. Must be current on all policies and procedures related to branch services and products offered.
Must be adept in handling new accounts, share certificates and IRA accounts.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move around the branch and must be able sit and stand for an extended period of time. Light lifting is required.
