Senior ABL Business Development Officer

Responsibilities

• Develop prospective new ABL business through active calling on prospects, centers of influence, and other referral sources both in conjunction with bank partners and directly.
• Complete preliminary prospect analysis and vetting.
• Recommend structure and terms for loans being underwritten by the ABL team.
• Collaborate with the ABL underwriter on initial screening of ABL opportunities.
• Facilitate review and secure approval from Credit for issuance of term sheets.
• Prepare and present term sheets to prospects.
• Collaborate with the ABL underwriter on final underwriting and securing final approval.
• Facilitate loan documentation and all other steps necessary for a successful loan origination.
• Actively participate in ABL‑related professional associations.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, finance, accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in ABL.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Deep knowledge of working capital solutions and related products.
• Deep client‑facing experience at C‑suite level with proven record of establishing strong relationships.
• Strong ABL credit skills coupled with a solutions‑oriented approach.
• Must possess strong knowledge of various loan structures and have the ability to apply this knowledge in the form of sound deal structuring and credit recommendations.
• Proven ability to work well with bank and external partners to deliver compelling client solutions.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills with ability to effectively set priorities in a performance‑driven environment.
• Ability to travel as required.
