Description

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Temp Services is seeking a Client Advocate (Temp) to screen individuals seeking services, evaluate eligibility for programs offered, orientate clients, monitor overall compliance, and maintain accurate and complete documentation. The position also involves identifying available community resources, providing information and referral services, delivering recurring reports, and participating in awareness‑building activities such as training programs, forums, and panel discussions.

Key

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Screens and assesses individuals referred to the program typically by family courts, judiciary, and/or Department of Human Resources (D.H.R).
  • Advocates services for the client and consults with outside entities such as court personnel; may make recommendation of alternative sentencing options.
  • Monitors overall compliance and maintains accurate and complete documentation.
  • Attends training and development courses and stays abreast of current trends regarding the population served.
  • Provides program administrator with recurring program reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of related experience required.
