ResponsibilitiesThe Mental Health Associate 3rd shift (Bessemer Location) provides direct care to residents with psychiatric disorders, to ensure their safety and well-being. This position is for our Bessemer Group Home. The MHA has the primary responsibility for ensuring the resident's safety on the unit utilizing a therapeutic approach to all tasks including assistance with daily activities, facilitation of groups and other duties as assigned by Group Leader, Assistant Group Leader, or Shift Supervisor.
This position is for 3rd shift Monday to Friday 11pm to 7:30 am with a rotating weekend of 9pm to 9:30am Saturday and Sunday. If you work a weekend you are off two days the following week. This position is also eligible for a $3,000 Sign on Bonus.

Qualifications- Bachelors or Associates degree in psychology, social work, education, criminal justice, or other related mental health field preferred, but not required.
- Detailed and organized with strong documentation skills
- Able to safely monitor residents and perform physical management techniques and crisis intervention.
- Experience in a residential mental/behavioral health setting strongly preferred.
- Must be 19 years or older, and be able to have a successful drug screen and background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check).
