Administrative Support Specialist – Hospital Maintenance

UAB Hospital Maintenance is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to support daily operations within a fast-paced hospital environment. This on-site, customer-facing role reports to the Executive Director and provides high-level administrative and operational support to department leadership and staff. The position plays a key role in keeping Hospital Maintenance organized, responsive, and running efficiently.

• To perform administrative support duties of a complex and diverse nature requiring some independent analysis.
• To maintain departmental databases, generate statistical reports, review data, organize and compile materials for dissemination, perform fiscal duties as related to the department, and other clerical duties as assigned by management.
• To direct the work of other clerical employees in a lead capacity.
• To coordinate events and activities.

• Bachelor s degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
