Mental Health Associate – 2nd Shift (Bessemer Location)
Work Hours2nd Shift, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm with rotating 12‑hour weekend shift (9 am–9:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday). Eligible for a $3,000 sign‑on bonus.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care to residents with psychiatric disorders, ensuring their safety and well‑being.
- Utilize therapeutic approach to all tasks including daily activity assistance, group facilitation, and duties assigned by Group Leader, Assistant Group Leader, or Shift Supervisor.
- Support resident safety on unit and perform crisis intervention when necessary.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in psychology, social work, education, criminal justice, or other related mental health field preferred (not required).
- Strong documentation skills and detail orientation.
- Experience in a residential mental/behavioral health setting strongly preferred.
- Must be 19 years or older and pass a successful drug screen and background check (criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check).
