The PCP/Endo Business Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing a plan for maximizing net sales of BIPI and co‑promoted diabetes products that aligns with direction from BIPI commercial leadership and BIPI guidelines, policies, and directives.
The role involves engaging key targeted healthcare providers and community hospitals; additional responsibilities may include teaching hospitals, federal and military hospitals, managed health care facilities, group purchasing organizations, and integrated delivery networks.

Duties & Responsibilities- Utilize product knowledge and selling skills to influence healthcare professionals to support BIPI promoted diabetes products; execute brand strategies to ensure company sales and marketing messages are delivered appropriately to customers.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with co‑promotion partners and BIPI employees.
- Complete pre‑call plans, build discussion around customer needs and opportunities, and follow up timely to foster ongoing trust.
- Use BIPI Sales Training techniques to facilitate customer decision making; coordinate engagement through personal and non‑personal channels as preferred by customers.
- Identify top plans for customers; engage them in discussions on payer environment, co‑pays, and formularies; work with Managed Care Area Managers to generate and sustain support for products on MCO formularies.
- Deliver on “continuation of care” models, including discharge protocol, treatment algorithms, and disease management.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative territory information to optimize territory business plans and customer calls; monitor local market conditions; adjust implementation plans regularly.
- Optimize allocation of key resources such as samples, co‑pay cards, and speaker program funds; utilize analysis tools to plan activity, report and monitor resource utilization, and maintain account records.
- Identify thought leaders, innovators, and advocates; coordinate with trained speakers for diabetes topics and products; provide feedback and develop speaker and thought‑leader programs within budget.
- Work effectively with all customer‑facing roles to meet customer needs and deliver net sales objectives; demonstrate strong collaboration and communication as accounts transition from traditional to account‑based models.
- Perform all business in accordance with regulations (e.g., EEO, FDA, DEA, OSHA, PDMA, EPA, PhRMA) and company policies; report violations immediately; maintain high ethical and professional standards.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of successful sales and/or marketing experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, pharmacy, B2B, or related customer engagement services.
- Experience in the diabetes therapeutic area preferred.
- History of successful performance and meeting expectations for key competencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications.
- Ability to travel, including overnight travel; must reside in the territory or be willing to relocate.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; authorized to drive a company‑leased or authorized rental vehicle.
Daily travel within the territory throughout the workday with multiple stops at office buildings, hospitals, and clinics. Up/down stairs, bending, walking, lifting above head to shelf pharmaceutical materials, and intermittent lifting up to 40 lbs. Periodic overnight travel for training and meetings is expected. Must meet state motor‑vehicle vision requirements and be comfortable working in diverse environments.
