Director of Clinical/Social Services MUST HAVE availability to attend an 8-business day Orientation from 8a-4p without interruptions. Exempt | Master's Degree, AL Licensure, & 3+ years of case and staff management/supervisory experience are Required! [MSW + a Social Work/Counseling State Licensure i.e.: LCSW or equivalent REQUIRED] If you meet the minimum requirements, you may proceed with an application. Credentials MUST BE ACTIVE & VERIFIED.

The Director of Clinical Services coordinates and supervises clinical management, social work, therapy and case management services for the facility (Acute, Residential, and Group Homes). This person manages Social Workers and Therapists, including the Activity therapy department, under general direction of the Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director.
About Hill Crest Behavioral Health Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services is a robust, free-standing psychiatric hospital offering dedicated services to adolescents and adults from the surrounding Birmingham community. With an average census of 150 patients, Hill Crest features acute inpatient, residential, and group home settings. We do not treat medically compromised individuals beyond our scope of care. Job Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), with a minimum of 3 years post master's relevant clinical experience required
- Must show the ability to motivate and lead a team of approximately 20+ social workers, recreational therapist, and others
- Current Alabama State license as an LCSW (most preferred), or equivalent
- Must serve on interdisciplinary committees and teams as required
- Demonstrate knowledge in teamwork and effective problem solving skills.
- Handle With Care, 1st Aid, CPR training and certification required, and may be obtained during Orientation
