Empower the next generation of learners as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist, where your expertise will make a direct impact in a positive, collaborative school environment. This rewarding contract opportunity is perfect for professionals seeking variety, challenge, and meaningful interaction with students ages preschool through high school.

Leverage your SLP knowledge across multiple schools, including Burkett Preschool, Hueytown Primary, Lipscomb Elementary, Hueytown Middle, Pinson Valley High School, and UW/Bagley, with a caseload of approximately 60 students. Work alongside dedicated educators and allied professionals to provide exceptional communication support and interventions.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Current Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) certification in Alabama
  • SLP Educator certification for Alabama schools and completed fingerprint/background check
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship eligible
  • Recent experience in a school-based SLP setting preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative skills
  • Ability to adapt to a diverse student population and multi-site assignments
Role Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and implement direct therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to support student success
  • Maintain thorough records and progress reports aligned with district and state requirements
  • Offer consultation and professional guidance in multiple school settings
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings
