This full-time, on-site Caregiver role is located in Birmingham, AL and focuses on supporting seniors with safe, dignified, and compassionate in-home care. Day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting with personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, as well as helping with ambulation, transferring, and basic mobility support. Caregivers also provide light housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, and help with errands, shopping, and accompanying clients to medical appointments.

The role involves monitoring client well-being, following care plans, and promptly reporting any changes in condition or safety concerns. Caregivers are expected to build trusting relationships with clients and families, maintain clear documentation, and collaborate with office staff to ensure consistent, high-quality service.

• Direct care skills, including assistance with personal care, bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation, transferring, and basic bedside care.
• Household support capabilities such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and safe home organization.
• Companionship and communication skills, including patience, empathy, active listening, and the ability to provide social engagement and emotional support.
• Reliability and professionalism, including strong time management, attention to detail, accurate documentation, and adherence to care plans and safety protocols.
• Transportation-related abilities, such as safely accompanying clients to appointments, errands, and shopping, with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Experience as a caregiver, home health aide, CNA, or similar role is highly beneficial; current CNA or HHA certification is a plus.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the job, including standing, lifting, and assisting with transfers, and following infection control guidelines.
• Completion of required background screening and eligibility to work in the United States; CPR/First Aid training is an advantage.
