Administrator in Training AIT Alabama

Salary: $70,000 annually

Champion Care is seeking a motivated and ambitious leader to join our Alabama operations as an Administrator in Training. This structured leadership development program provides hands-on experience in skilled nursing operations while preparing the selected candidate to become a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Alabama.

Working under the guidance of an experienced, licensed Nursing Home Administrator, the AIT will gain exposure to every area of facility operations, including clinical services, employee recruitment and retention, financial management, regulatory compliance, resident experience, quality improvement, business development and environmental services.

• Daily operations of a skilled nursing facility
• Leadership and employee development
• Recruitment, retention and workforce management
• Budgeting, financial performance and business office operations
• State and federal regulatory compliance
• Survey preparation and quality improvement
• Resident care programs and customer service
• Dietary, housekeeping, maintenance and environmental services
• Census development and community relationships

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
• Degree in healthcare administration, business, nursing, public health or a related field preferred
• Previous leadership or healthcare experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and employees
• Willingness to work throughout different departments and participate in all aspects of facility operations
• Ability to meet the eligibility requirements established by the Alabama Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators
• Willingness to relocate within Alabama following completion of the program

The length of the AIT program will be determined by the candidate’s education and the requirements of the Alabama Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators. Candidates with a general bachelor’s degree typically complete a 1,000-hour approved AIT program. Candidates with qualifying healthcare administration degrees may be eligible for a reduced training requirement.

The selected candidate will receive structured training, mentorship and support throughout the AIT program and Alabama licensure process.
