Position

Summary

Under the direction of the Concessions Manager, the Part Time , Alcohol Compliance employee’s responsibility is to  patron, assuring they are legally 21+ years old, verify the  not fake, expired, and is the actual patron's picture. If they are legal, the compliance officer will then put a band on their right wrist in accordance with company policies. The  will also assist staff with other alcohol related issues.

About the Venue

This position is based at Regions Field in Birmingham Alabama. With a continued emphasis on providing the most fun and affordable family‑friendly entertainment in Birmingham, Regions Field features a variety of unique attractions for fans of all ages including the Ascension St. Vincent's Youth Sports Zone, which houses a mini wiffle ball field, Callahan Eye Hospital Family Fun Park, and the Shipt Batting Cages located in right field.

Responsibilities
  • patron assuring they are legally 21+ years old.
  • Verifies that IDs are not fake, expired, and are the actual patron’s picture.
  • Puts wrist bands on patrons whose IDs have been validated and are 21+.
  • Observes and documents any alcohol related issues.
  • Assist with alcohol cut‑off and performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • Will be responsible to monitor all employee’s adherence to the company policy and state laws.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18+ years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures preferred.
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance; ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy.
  • A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
  • Position requires constant standing with only occasional sitting.
Physical Demands / Working Environment
  • Work environment is fast-paced.
  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and working on your feet.
  • Some, but not all, positions must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
  • Tolerance of loud noises.
  • Nights and weekends are a must; there is also a chance a show could fall on a holiday (Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day being the most likely).
