We are seeking an experienced Beverage Manager for the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex located in Birmingham, AL.

Hosting conventions, trade shows, sports, concerts, Broadway productions, consumer expos, banquets, and community events that attract thousands of visitors annually.
The Beverage Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of beverage operations, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving revenue, and maintaining operational excellence. This position is responsible for managing the beverage program across multiple event types and service outlets, including banquets, concessions, catering, and premium hospitality spaces. The Beverage Manager ensures consistent quality and service standards, develops innovative beverage offerings, and maintains compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol regulations.
In addition, this role oversees beverage inventory, cost controls, vendor partnerships, and staff training to ensure efficient operations and profitability. The Beverage Manager collaborates closely with culinary, catering, and event operations teams to design and execute beverage service strategies that elevate the guest experience and align with client expectations.
Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within Career Band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities.

Education Requirement: High school diploma or GED
