Banquet Houseman

Marriott is seeking a Banquet Houseman to support exceptional meetings and events at our hotel. In this role, you will set up and break down banquet and meeting rooms, arranging tables, chairs, linens, and equipment according to detailed event orders. You'll maintain clean, safe, and well-organized event spaces and storage areas, assist servers with water service and refreshes, and support quick room turnovers between events.

Working closely with the banquet and events team, you'll follow Marriott's service and safety standards while delivering a professional, guest-focused experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down banquet rooms, tables, chairs, linens, and equipment according to event orders
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces, storage rooms, and service areas
• Assist banquet servers with water service, replenishing supplies, and room refreshes between events
• Inspect equipment and report damages or safety hazards to supervisors
• Follow Marriott brand standards for room layout, presentation, and guest readiness
• Coordinate with banquet captain and event team to meet timelines and special setup requests
• Safely move, lift, and store furniture and equipment using proper techniques
• Support quick room turnovers between meetings and events
• Comply with safety, security, and sanitation procedures
• Provide friendly, professional assistance to guests and event planners as needed
