Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Talent Manager

Position OverviewThe Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, payroll support, compliance, and employee relations.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering a positive employee experience while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities Recruitment- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and role requirements
- Post job openings, source candidates, and screen resumes
- Coordinate and conduct interviews, reference checks, and job offers
- Utilize behavioral assessment tools (e.g., Predictive Index) to evaluate candidate fit
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from requisition through onboarding
- Develop and continuously improve onboarding materials and processes
- Conduct new hire orientation and ensure a smooth transition into the organization
- Coordinate offboarding activities, including exit interviews and required documentation
- Process new hire and termination data in HRIS and payroll systems, including I-9 and E-Verify compliance
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with legal requirements
- Ensure documentation is audit-ready and up to date
- Generate HR reports and fulfill data requests as needed
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, payroll, and benefits
- Support leadership with employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and performance documentation
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture
- Coordinate annual harassment prevention and compliance training
- Assist with payroll processing, including timekeeping, approvals, deductions, and data changes
- Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain payroll documentation and records
- Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, retirement, life, disability, and voluntary benefits
- Manage new hire enrollments and qualifying life events
- Coordinate annual open enrollment, including employee communications and vendor coordination
- Support retirement plan communications and employee inquiries
- Administer leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, state leave programs) and ensure regulatory compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws (including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, FMLA, and wage and hour regulations)
- Prepare and submit required reports and documentation
- Monitor legislative changes and recommend policy updates
- Assist with internal communications and company newsletters
- Maintain organizational charts
- Coordinate company events and employee engagement activities
- Support HR audits and special initiatives as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- 5–7 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycor, or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with behavioral assessment tools (e.g., Predictive Index) preferred
