Overview
We are seeking a friendly, hands-on Field Service Technician to provide onsite IT support across multiple healthcare centers in the Birmingham market, with occasional travel to Montgomery. This role serves as the primary in-person technical resource for staff, ensuring reliable operation of hardware, software, and connectivity that supports daily care delivery.
Responsibilities- Deliver onsite technical support for end users across assigned locations
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues
- Image, configure, install, and replace desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Communicate clearly with local staff and the broader IT team
- Maintain accurate documentation, prioritization, and follow-up on support requests
- Adhere to IT standards, security policies, and healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA/CMS)
- Travel locally between sites as part of weekly support coverage
- Experience providing hands-on IT field support or technical troubleshooting
- Strong customer service, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver s license
- Professional, business-casual presence
- Healthcare IT or HIPAA familiarity (Bonus)
Location:
Birmingham, AL — Fully onsite (local travel required).
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire.
- Salary range determined by factors including skill sets, experience, licensure/certifications, and geographic considerations
