Purpose of the Position: The Cloud Systems Administrator involves the administration, governance, and support of enterprise and cloud systems utilized at McLeod Software. It will contribute to advancing the cloud strategy. This role's primary focus includes consulting, designing, and maintaining the Azure public cloud infrastructure. The candidate will also be responsible for implementing and managing all relevant Azure public cloud technology stacks and adhering to industry best practices for security.
- Configure and administer the company’s Azure and Cloud environments
- Troubleshoot any connectivity issues to Azure and Cloud resources
- Assist with Intune MDM to provide secure access to company resources on company provided devices as well as BYOD devices
- Manage Hybrid Active Directory, Azure, and Cloud environments
- Create and maintain security strategies, policies, procedures, and documentation in a cloud-focused environment
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain Microsoft Azure services and solutions for hosting McLeod Software products
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain Azure networking technologies
- Migrate on-premises and private cloud workloads to Azure using best practices
- Automate processes with Azure CLI, Power Shell, and Azure Automation
- Train other team members on relevant systems and services
- Research and resolve complex issues as they are escalated
- Consult 3rd party vendors to install, configure, and deploy advanced systems and services
- Work with management and development teams to design and deploy complex solutions
- Work with vendors and service providers to research, evaluate, budget, and procure new systems and services
- Identify and plan for capacity increase
- Install, configure, deploy, and update applications
- Establish and maintain the desired state for systems and maintain system life cycles
- Drive Identity and access management using Azure Active Directory
- Update Knowledge Base and Standard Operating Procedures
- Establish and implement monitoring and management infrastructure for availability, performance management, and cost control
- Ability to learn internal software and systems
- Strong attention to detail

- Minimum 3+ years of experience designing and supporting Azure Cloud and/or Microsoft 365 administration, required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a full-time IT professional, required.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Hands‑on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Entra , including user lifecycle management, identity configuration, and access control, required.
- Additional experience in areas such as Exchange Online administration, broader identity management practices, Microsoft 365 licensing, security settings, and conditional access policies, preferred.
- Familiarity with Intune for mobile devices and endpoint management, as well as support
- Strong understanding of Azure networking and security concepts as they relate to Microsoft 365 and hybrid identity environments, preferred.
