Windows System Administrator

Job Overview

One of TEKsystems' clients, a Birmingham, AL‑based enterprise company, is hiring a Sr. Systems Administrator. The role will administer a Windows/Active Directory environment, support Azure/Entra and Microsoft 365, manage servers, automate employee onboarding and offboarding using Manage Engine, and develop a Disaster Recovery plan.

• Maintain Windows servers and Active Directory.

• Manage Azure infrastructure and Entra .

• Support and automate M365 and Office 365 workloads.

• Oversee VMware and virtualized environments.

• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.

• Create and update disaster recovery procedures.

• Automate scripts using Power Shell and other tooling.

• Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
• Knowledge of Azure and Entra
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
• Proficiency in Power Shell scripting and automation
• Familiarity with VMware or similar virtualization platforms
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Experience with disaster‑recovery planning

Intermediate

Contract position, fully onsite in Birmingham, AL.

$45.00 – $60.00 per hour.
