DescriptionSupervises the IT department and ensures the department runs smoothly and supports the company’s IT needs. The IT department works across a broad range of technologies and liaises across multiple areas of the business to support incidents, problems and requests.
Responsibilities- Oversees IT department and all technologies/functions it supports
- Hires, trains and supervises IT support staff
- Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems and department
- Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption in event of emergency situations or data loss
- Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure
- Establishes IT policies and systems to support strategies set by upper management
- Oversees security of systems, networks and enterprise information
- Analyzes business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
- Inspects use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
- Sets up new users in company technology systems
- Maintains installed tablets, networks, telephone systems and peripherals with routine maintenance
- Ensures company property is properly accounted for
- Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
- Facilitates IT security audits or investigations
- Fields questions from users regarding company technology systems
- Creates, maintains, and distributes reports of progress to senior leadership
- Performs other duties as required
- Excellent customer service in face‑to‑face, telephone or electronic interaction with employees
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees
- Must have excellent time‑management skills and ability to meet required deadlines
- Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), network, etc.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Preferred experience with HRIS platform UKG / Ulti Pro
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally
