Position Overview
As a Security Analyst within PNC’s Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA;
Cleveland, OH; or Birmingham, AL. The work shift is Sunday – Thursday, 3:00pm EST – 11:30pm EST. You will evaluate, respond to, and mitigate alerts that originate from the SIEM and other cybersecurity product suites, work with security technologies, and support the institution’s security posture.
- Evaluate, respond to, and mitigate alerts from SIEM and security products such as NGFWs, IDS/IPS, anti‑virus, web application firewalls, NAC solutions, and EDR.
- Demonstrate use and understanding of SIEM and EDR tools.
- Tune SIEM events to reduce false positives.
- Extract IOCs and behavioral characteristics of malicious samples and implement proper mitigation, including sandboxing.
- Scope security events to ensure proper remediation steps.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise on SOC functions.
- Perform operational support as a representative of the security organization.
- Support investigative and data‑loss prevention activities, coordinate activities, and address or mitigate risks and vulnerabilities.
- Review and define controls, advise on complex security procedures and products, and enforce control security risks and threats.
- Share knowledge with staff and conduct security assessments and related information security routines.
- University or college degree (or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience) with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.

Base Salary: $75,000.00 – $ (varies by location, market data, skills, experience, and education). This role is incentive eligible based on company, business, and/or individual performance.
