Cloud Computing Specialist - Intermediate

4M is currently seeking an intermediate level Cloud Computing Specialist for our location in Huntsville, AL. The selected candidate will be part of a software engineering team that develops and maintains software systems that supports the business processes for the Army's ammunition lifecycle. The system supports all levels of command to ensure that the Army's ammunition historical and serviceability data is available and reliable 24/7.

• Plan, deliver, and implement application and data migration from AWS IaaS environment to AWS PaaS environment. Effort will include supporting the complete web application lifecycle: building, testing, deploying, managing, and updating within PaaS environment.
• Develop and maintain cloud-based applications using AWS services.
• Collaborate with Dev Ops and other teams to ensure seamless integration and operation.
• Support the migration of applications to the cloud.
• Continuously look for ways to improve processes and take advantage of new technologies.

• Two plus years experience in software engineering, 1+ years experience in cloud computing/engineering/, C #, Oracle, Visual Studio, TOAD
• Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance standards
• Understanding the Linux OS
• Programming - (asp.net, c#)
• Networking and Internet Protocols
• Dev Ops and Containerization
• Understanding Virtualization
• Cloud Service Providers
• Web Services and API

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience may be substituted for education.
• Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire.

• Experience upgrading asp.net webapp written in c# to PAAS environment.
• Experience in working with microservices and containerization technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Open Shift.
• Experience working with Amazon Web Services technologies.
• Experience with command line in Linux or Unix.
• Experience with designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex cloud applications.
