Job Description:
At Regions, the Business Intelligence Developer assists the team in the development, maintenance, integration, data governance, and data reporting for Business Intelligence solutions.
Primary Responsibilities- Assists in identifying needs and evaluating alternative business solutions
- Assists in designing, creating, and implementing complex analysis solutions to support the Business Intelligence (BI) environment
- Identifies new data sources and assists in the integration into the existing warehouse
- Codes, tests, debugs, implements complex BI reporting solutions
- Assists in automating activities wherever possible to minimize resources needs
- Troubleshoots and tunes to isolate and identify problems to optimize systems and reporting performance
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or a related field
- Or High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience such as project management, system management, and data intelligence operations
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Qlik View
- Experience using relational databases such as SQL and Oracle
- Experience using query development, scripting, and programming skills such as Excel Power Pivot and Dax
- Ability to work independently within a team environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong theoretical knowledge of relational database techniques
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and self‑motivation
- Understanding of relational database models
Job Description
This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
This position is intended to be onsite, and located in Birmingham, AL. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in‑office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense.
Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position at this time. Applicants for this position must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
The position of Business Intelligence Developer – Retail Analytics & Reporting develops reports, dashboards, scorecards, and business intelligence solutions for Consumer Banking and other business partners. Responsibilities include gathering business requirements, creating SQL queries and database objects, integrating data from multiple sources and platforms, and collaborating with business partners throughout the development process.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience developing reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions using Tableau, Power BI, and SSRS
- Experience working with Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, and other relational database platforms
- Experience using SAS Enterprise Guide or similar analytical tools
- Strong experience developing SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects
- Experience with ETL and data integration processes, including SSIS or similar tools
- Experience with data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts
- Experience with DAX and Power BI semantic models
- Experience with SSAS is preferred
- Experience working in a banking or financial services environment

Compensation DetailsPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point‑of‑market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
Job Range Target:
Minimum: $66,674.85 USD
Median: $82,290.00 USD
Incentive Pay Plans:
