Position Overview
Business Systems Analyst – Consulting, Sanctions/Data Analytics mary location:
Birmingham, AL with availability in Pittsburgh, PA;
Cleveland, OH;
Dallas, TX.
- Serve as a technical business analyst to provide solutions for IT and business management, applying technology to business opportunities and cross‑functional applications.
- Identify, evaluate, and configure cost‑effective systems that meet business requirements.
- Monitor client experiences and provide feedback on business applications, enhancing system productivity as needed.
- Consult as a senior level advisor on process‑improvement projects to enhance internal business outcomes.
- Analyze, define, and document client requirements; revise existing system logic as necessary.
- Utilize tools and languages including SQL (complex queries, joins, data validation), PowerPoint, Tableau, Excel (dashboards, pivot, Power Query), Python (Pandas), Fircosoft, Actimize, World‑Check, REST/JSON/XML APIs, UML, Agile (JIRA, Confluence) and document in BRD, FRD, data dictionary, traceability matrix.
- Perform data profiling (nulls, duplicates, outliers, pattern analysis).
- Work in a collaborative environment, often requiring office presence; some duties may be performed remotely.
- Visa sponsorship for employment visas or participation in STEM OPT is not provided.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education, certification or experience, including military service).
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant industry experience at a business analysis level.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools, and basic Python.
- Experience with screening tools (Fircosoft, Actimize, World‑Check) and regulatory compliance relevant to sanctions.
- Familiarity with REST/JSON/XML APIs and data integration.
- Experience working in Agile (JIRA, Confluence) and with SDLC, UAT.
- Application Development, Business Management, Customer Solutions, Design, Group Problem Solving, Process Improvements, Release Management, Software Solutions.
- UX Design.
- Business Assessment, Business Process Modeling, IT Environment, IT Project Management, Requirements Analysis, Technical Writing/Documentation, Workflow Analysis.
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification preferred.
- No mandatory certifications required.
Roles at this level typically require 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job‑specific certification(s), and experience may be considered.
Pay TransparencyBase Salary: $55,000.00 – $ (varies by location, market and individual skills, experience, and education). This role is incentive eligible.
