Job Description

At Regions, the Software Engineer oversees application development, modification, and maintenance of applications. The position monitors system applications, ensures smooth operation, and creates reports and documentation outlining findings and solutions. The role is within Regions' Technology department.

• Oversee development and installation of new hardware and software
• Install and configure systems and other software
• Test installed software for malfunction detection
• Identify and resolve business systems issues
• Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems
• Measure effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems
• Develop and implement strategies to improve systems
• Monitor and test system performance
• Maintain full ownership of a process typically
• Ensure compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identify opportunities for and support process improvements; apply disciplined change management practices
• May act as a procedural expert
• May lead the work of junior level associates

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
• Five (5) years of experience

• Ability to collaborate with programmers, developers, and other technology professionals to achieve a common objective
• Ability to conduct system analysis to detect issues with performance
• Ability to develop and implement technology solutions to resolve technical challenges
• Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of software testing techniques, code optimization and software debugging
• Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong executional capabilities
• Thorough understanding of software structures, hardware, computing systems and how to integrate them
• Experienced developer supporting domain and Theta API's using .Net technology
• Well-versed with development using .Net, C#, Databases, code testing using automation suites
• Ability to work with junior level developers in a collaborative team environment

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in‑office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position; relocation would be at your expense. Available locations are Birmingham, AL;
Atlanta, GA; or Charlotte, NC. Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position at this time. Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point‑of‑market reference for compensation decisions. Pay is influenced by experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and performance in the job role. Target pay information is as follows (based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for the location):
