Infrastructure Architect Sr., Azure Cloud Product Team

Position Overview

We are seeking an Infrastructure Architect Sr within PNC's Product Cloud Team. Candidates may be based in Pittsburgh PA, Strongsville OH, Birmingham AL, Phoenix AZ, Dallas TX or Denver CO.

• Work with the Cloud Architecture team to design, implement, and support core cloud infrastructure.
• Provide direct analysis and recommendations for application implementation or migration to cloud services.
• Implement and maintain cloud management solutions, including automation, notifications, and reporting.
• Collaborate with legacy application and platform teams to migrate components to cloud services.
• Identify and troubleshoot cloud service events and issues, working with providers to resolve them.
• Design and develop disaster recovery strategy for solutions.
• Mentor team members and document architecture best practices, procedures, and designs.
• Participate in 24/7 cloud platform support.
• Define design patterns and ensure adherence to enterprise standards and licensing agreements.
• Drive adoption of technology architecture and provide expert advice on core infrastructure initiatives.

• Deep experience with cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure), IaaS, PaaS, and native capabilities.
• Hands‑on experience architecting, designing, implementing, and supporting cloud‑based applications and solutions.
• Proficient in compute, CI/CD, containers, storage, platforms, data, networking, and security within the cloud.
• Knowledge of networking and web standards: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP, web security, switches, routers, load balancers, firewalls.
• High level understanding of Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (preferred Jenkins) and configuration management (preferred Ansible).
• Experience with Azure AI services including AI Foundry, Search, APIM.
• Programming experience in Python and Go (preferred).

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s, PhD, or relevant certifications are desirable. Prior military service may be considered.

No specific certifications or licenses required.

Base Salary: $112,000 – $249,600, varying by location, market data, and individual qualifications. Incentive eligible.
