We are seeking a highly skilled Citrix Engineer to design, implement, administer, optimize, and support enterprise Citrix environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix DaaS, Net Scaler ADC, Windows Server administration, and end-user computing technologies. This role will be responsible for maintaining secure, highly available virtual desktop and application delivery platforms while partnering with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Citrix Infrastructure Administration
  • Design, deploy, configure, and support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) environments.
  • Administer Citrix components including:
  • Delivery Controllers
  • Store Front
  • Director
  • Machine Creation Services (MCS)
  • Manage Citrix policies, catalogs, delivery groups, and user access.
Performance & Reliability
  • Monitor system health, performance metrics, and user experience.
  • Troubleshoot application, desktop, and connectivity issues.
  • Optimize resource utilization and virtual desktop performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement preventative measures.
  • Configure and maintain Citrix Net Scaler ADC appliances.
  • Manage load balancing, SSL certificates, gateways, authentication methods, and secure remote access solutions.
  • Administer Windows Server environments supporting Citrix workloads.
  • Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
  • Manage virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or Azure Virtual Desktop integrations.
  • Support profile management technologies such as FSLogix and Citrix Profile Management.
Security & Compliance
  • Implement Citrix security best practices.
  • Participate in vulnerability remediation and patch management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Develop Power Shell scripts to automate administration and support tasks.
  • Streamline deployment, monitoring, and reporting activities.
  • Recommend improvements to infrastructure, processes, and end-user experience.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, desktop support, and application teams.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide production support as needed.
Required Qualifications:

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise Citrix environments.
  • Hands-on experience administering Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD).
  • Experience with Citrix Cloud and/or Citrix DaaS.
  • Experience supporting VMware, Hyper-V, or cloud-hosted virtual environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise Windows Server infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Citrix Certified Professional (CCP-V) or Citrix Certified Expert (CCE-V).
  • Microsoft certifications (Azure Administrator, Windows Server, Identity).
  • Experience with:
  • AWS Work Spaces
  • FSLogix
  • SCCM/MECM
  • VMware Horizon
  • Experience in regulated industries such as utilities, healthcare, finance, or government.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to support multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
