The City of Birmingham is seeking a well-qualified Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist to analyze and monitor system applications, programs, and/or databases. GIS Specialists analyze data using ArcGIS applications, maps, and tabular data to identify spatial relationships and develop thematic layers.
Incumbents create and modify system documentation, train others, and provide on-site administrator support for various applications, managing updates and user access as required.
