Quality Worker II - DIP

• Inspect pipes to ensure they meet specified standards.

• Must be physically able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Due to hazardous environment (mobile equipment, overhead cranes, etc.), acceptable vision and hearing levels are required to respond safely to visual and auditory warnings.
• Must meet physical requirements for safe operation of mobile equipment, as assessed by the Safety Department.
• Ability to use measuring equipment, gauges, and tools necessary for job duties.
• Must pass an annual vision test administered by the Safety Department to visually inspect pipes for defects.

• Standing on wooden, grating, and gravel surfaces while inspecting pipes.
• Walking short distances on various surfaces to access work areas.
• Climbing stairs within the work area as needed.
• Occasional stooping to place chock blocks next to pipes.
• Overhead reach to roll pipes and measure circumference.
• Forward and bended reach for measuring and positioning tasks.
• Handling tools such as pipe sticks, chock blocks, tape measures, and gauges.
• Using fingers for writing reports, measuring, marking, and checking dimensions.
• Communicating verbally with coworkers and supervisors; vision and hearing required for safety and communication.
• Pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds to move pipes and position them.

• Climbing catwalk stairs.
• Occasional stooping to look under pipes.
• Overhead reach to shine light into pipes.
• Forward reach to operate socket cleaning tools.
• Handling tools like tape measures and cleaning tools.
• Using fingers for writing and marking tasks.
• Verbal communication with coworkers and supervisors; vision and hearing necessary for safety.
