Industrial Maintenance Technician​/AGT First Responder; 2nd Shift

Overview

AMENTUM is seeking a mid-level, multi-craft Industrial Maintenance Technician for our team in Vance, AL.

• Provide an advanced level of mechanical or electrical expertise in performing preventive and corrective maintenance activities for material handling equipment and charging stations in a large industrial environment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and equipment support systems such as drives, control systems, communication systems, gearboxes, and charging units; monitor fleet management software and other supervisory systems.
• Perform all aspects of preventive and corrective electrical and mechanical maintenance.

• Typical work schedule is Monday – 2:00pm to 10:30pm (hours may vary based on business demand).

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• Three years of experience performing electrical and/or mechanical maintenance on industrial process or production equipment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Qualified applicants must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
• This position may require a valid Driver’s License.
• This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
• This position may require the ability to obtain a security access badge at the client’s location.
• This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.

• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Some tasks require repetitive wrist movement and extensive walking throughout facilities.
• Ability to read and understand information contained in documents or on a computer screen.
• Ability to operate a computer and access data bases, send/receive messages, and prepare documents.
• Ability to attend meetings on site and potentially travel to other locations, including some air travel to distant locations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and via telephone.
• Fluency in using Microsoft products.
• Ability to interact with clients professionally and calmly under stress.

• Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other PPE as needed.
