Starting Pay $16.88
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and/or written policies, procedures and instructions.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffer/sweeper, etc.
- One (1) year or more of paid custodial experience.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain/maintain a City of Hoover Driver's Permit.
Responsibilities include:
- Washes floors, furnishings, equipment, windows, doors and walls with cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
- Prepares cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
- Cleans and scrubs basins, sinks, lavatories and toilets.
- Replenishes soap, tissue, towels and similar supplies.
- Dusts, wipes and cleans cabinets, closets, shelves, vents, showers, pictures and desks.
- Collects trash and empties garbage; picks up trash from outside of buildings.
- Sweeps, mops and dusts floors and strips floor of old wax; applies new wax and buffs.
- Performs related duties as required.
