At Regions, the Regions Business Capital Originations Team Leader is responsible for growth initiatives for the Asset Based Lending group through leadership of business development efforts and management of key client and referral relationships. This role will help develop and execute the origination strategy, working with a team of originators, underwriters, and portfolio managers. Additionally, the Team Leader has direct production responsibility and will need to achieve individual performance goals while driving overall team results.
The role is also accountable for ensuring the team maintains required internal control standards, including adherence to audit, regulatory and compliance policies.
- Leads a team to originate asset-based loans in partnership with other banking teams
- Exceeds personal production goals and promotes best practices within the team to drive overall team performance
- Maintains both internal and external relationships, while establishing a direct calling program on existing prospects and clients of the Bank as well as third party intermediaries, to source both new and incremental ABL financing opportunities
- Builds and retains profitable relationships within the banking segment
- Sets direction for the overall client experience, financial results, and risk management
- Defines measurable business growth objectives, management processes and measures
- Leads the building of strong partnerships between team members and product and support groups
- Provides continuous coaching and performance management to drive exceptional client outcomes and revenue growth
- Achieves performance and revenue goals
- Ensures adherence to policies and procedures
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
- Ten (10) years of asset-based lending industry experience with solid achievements in new loan originations
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Demonstrated positive management/leadership skills and principles
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Exceptional business development skills with demonstrated excellence in cross-selling and success in sustained revenue generation
- Proven ability to generate new leads and partners with others
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding production goals and sales objectives
- Strong interpersonal skills used within a team environment and in client interactions with an emphasis on excelling in relationship building
- Superior communication and partnership skills
Selected candidate will be working in Birmingham AL, Atlanta GA, Charlotte NC, or Dallas TX.
