Overview
Assistant Project Manager - Method-1 (Birmingham, AL). Culton Companies, Inc. is looking for an Assistant Project Manager for our Method-1 division. At Method-1, we partner with clients to design, fabricate, and install branded commercial interiors. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be invested in projects after they have gone through our creative design process and have become production orders, and then work hand-in-hand with our clients and our internal teams to help deliver the project.
You will attend and document project meetings, help to develop schedules, communicate with the project team and help keep everyone on track. Success is measured in equal parts timely delivery, project profitability, and client delight. Repeat business is our ultimate goal!
- Takes notes and drafts meeting minutes for all meetings through the course of the project.
- Works with the Senior Project Managers to establish and document timelines and milestones for all phases of projects.
- Assists with ordering, procurement, tracking and shipping of materials necessary for completion of the project.
- Verifies that pertinent project information is relayed to the production team in a clear and legible way.
- Drafts all action lists, task lists, work orders, and punch lists needed to supplement the plans/drawings and account for timelines and milestones.
- Maintains and documents communication with production leads and departments ensuring deadlines and milestones are met.
- Travels as needed to project locations to verify and coordinate site conditions with the client and/or General Contractor.
- Maintains an up-to-date list of all tasks and key dates in the project management software system.
- Conducts quality control checks on items/components produced for a project and ensures QC issues are corrected prior to inspections; ensures completed products are properly photographed.
- Coordinates and directs all internal and client inspections conducted on projects.
- Confirms that a thorough record of all projects is archived for future reference.
- Strong organization and attention to detail; ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Proactive, process-driven with ability to work within a defined framework while allowing some autonomy.
- Full-time, 40-hour per week, M-F schedule;
Birmingham, AL location.
