Executive Director

Foundations, based in Fairfield, AL provides a Christ-centered environment where children are

developed academically, physically, socially, and spiritually during their most formative years.

Partnering with families of children from birth to five, Foundations combines best-known

practices in early childhood education with the love, grace, salvation, and transforming power of

the Lord Jesus Christ to prepare children for lifelong learning and school readiness while

strengthening families in their faith and parenting journey.

The Executive Director serves as the chief executive, administrator, and spiritual leader. This individual provides visionary and strategic leadership to ensure mission advancement, organizational health, financial sustainability, accreditation compliance, and operational excellence.

• Champion and advance the mission and vision of Foundations as a Christ-centered early learning organization committed to serving children and families.
• Ensure organizational initiatives, programs, and decision-making consistently reflect the values, beliefs, and mission of Foundations.
• Foster a culture, policies, and practices that align with the organization's Statement of Faith and Christian identity.
• Demonstrate values-based leadership marked by integrity, collaboration, and a commitment to healthy organizational relationships.
• Lead long-term strategic planning in partnership with the Board, ensuring future growth and expansion efforts support the mission and vision of Foundations.
• Provide oversight of administrative, operational, facilities, and development functions to ensure organizational effectiveness and sustainability.

• Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and the organization.
• Implement board-approved mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
• Provide regular reporting on finances, risks, enrollment, accreditation, outcomes and organizational health.
• Maintain board and committee participation and ensure implementation of objectives.
• Responsible for supervision of the Head of School to ensure high-quality, spiritual programming for families and children.
• Responsible for all non-instructional staff, including hiring, onboarding, supervision, evaluation and professional growth.
• Approve new staffing positions, compensation, and organizational structure.
• Support the Head of School in faculty staffing recommendations and professional development.
• Develop and steward the full organizational budget in partnership with the Board.
• Oversee tuition, fees, payroll, benefits, contracts, and financial controls.
• Ensure compliance with funding, grant, and reporting requirements.
• Oversee organizational development and fundraising strategy in partnership with the Board.
• Cultivate relationships with donors, partners, foundations, and community agencies.

• Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership,
  or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Christian preschool administration and/or teaching preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in education, nonprofit, ministry, or related settings.
• Knowledge of early childhood development, assessment, early intervention, and program evaluation.
• Experience with budgeting, fiscal oversight, and organizational management.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead teams, and implement strategic initiatives effectively.
• Commitment to the organization’s Christian mission, statement of faith, and ministry philosophy.
