Regional Operations Manager
The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the operational performance of multiple allergy, asthma, and immunology clinics within the Birmingham, Alabama area. This role ensures clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and outstanding patient service while supporting strategic growth initiatives. The Regional Operations Manager serves as a key link between Operations leadership and clinic operations, overseeing clinic managers and ensuring alignment with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of multiple outpatient clinics, ensuring consistency in processes, service quality, and patient experience.
- Supervise and mentor clinic managers and staff, providing leadership, direction, and performance feedback.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency, patient access, satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and financial performance.
- Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and compliance standards, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure high-quality care delivery and adherence to evidence-based practices.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of clinic personnel.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and lead initiatives to streamline workflows and improve service delivery.
- Drive revenue growth and cost control efforts across clinics through scheduling optimization, resource utilization, and effective supply management.
- Lead or support the integration of new clinic locations, providers, and services in partnership with executive leadership.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with corporate departments including HR, Finance, Marketing, and IT.
- Conduct regular site visits and audits to maintain accountability and promote a culture of excellence.
- Serve as a liaison between frontline staff and senior leadership, ensuring bidirectional communication and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field required;
Master's degree preferred. - 3-5 years of experience in healthcare operations management, with at least 2 years overseeing multiple sites.
- Proven success managing clinical staff, improving patient outcomes, and driving operational improvements.
- Strong knowledge of outpatient workflows, particularly in allergy, asthma, immunology, ENT, or similar specialty areas.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in EMR, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned region frequently.
Physical Requirements:
- Travel between Birmingham, AL-area clinics 70-80%
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
