The Fleet Reactor Services (RXS) Project Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of refueling outage activities assigned to reactor services. Outage work scope the RXS PM is expected to support, based on site manager needs, include refuel team scope, SG sludge lance, SG eddy current testing, RCP PMs at Farley and Vogtle 1&2, RCP seal replacements at Farley and Vogtle 1&2, RCP pump/motor replacement at Farley and Vogtle 1&2, under-vessel at Hatch, and other scope assigned to reactor services.
Online work scope will include supporting dry cask campaign as needed, new fuel receipt oversight as needed, filling in for site supervisor/PM due to vacation, illness, etc., attending outage related meetings as a representative for RXS, driving excellence in outage preparations, shadow and learn roles of site supervisors/PMs to allow seamless work execution when filling in, and other activities assigned to RXS.
The RXS PM will provide oversight of craft Reactor Technicians and vendor personnel. This position will report to the Fleet Reactor Services Manager. This is a corporate position, but personnel will be based ling to be located at another site in the future depending on Fleet RXS manager, Sr RXS manager, and organizational needs.
This role is extremely critical in providing craft leadership and guidance resulting in shortened outage durations, significant cost savings, and implementation of fleet standardization. The ability to recognize performance/behavioral gaps and provide effective coaching is essential.
Leadership of RXS activities which include but is not limited to the following:
- Refueling
- Reactor Vessel Disassembly / Reassembly (General Refuel Floor Activities Oversight)
- Fuel Movement
- Fuel Inspections
- Refuel equipment and tooling checkouts including LHTs, FHM, RFM, and transfer system
- Equipment set up in SFP and containment buildings
- Equipment load in staging to best support scope of work
- Oversight and Active Leadership
- Steam Generator
- Sludge Lance setup and execution.
- Eddy current setup and execution
- Oversight and Active Leadership
- Reactor Coolant Pumps (Farley and Vogtle 1&2)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently have or can obtain and maintain UAA
- 5 years of commercial nuclear plant experience required
- Technical and Project Management background in Nuclear Power preferred
- Previous experience supervising union craft personnel in a commercial plant preferred
- Provide direct supervision of Reactor Services Technicians (must maintain an SNC First Line Supervisor qualification).
- Provide oversight of alliance partner workers and supervisors during reactor, steam generator, and reactor coolant pump, and other work activities assigned to RXS.
- Willing to be based at any of the SNC sites based on organizational needs and travel as directed by fleet reactor services manager to support other sites
- Previous experience providing oversight of contract personnel preferred
- Experience with Refueling, SG Primary/Secondary inspections, RCP PMs/replacements, and Under-Vessel scope preferred. Experience in one area is required.
- Advanced Master Rigger qualified or ability to obtain qualification
- SNC OJT/TPE qualified or ability to obtain qualification
- Ability to travel up to 60% and support up to 3-5 planned outages per year.
- Support Dry Cask, New Fuel Receipt, and other activities assigned to RXS
- Fill in for site supervisors/PMs during times of absence
- Drive outage tooling and equipment readiness initiatives
- Vendor preparation and readiness oversight
- Represent RXS in outage-related meetings to drive excellence in execution
- Setup and lead team meetings (refuel, SG, RCP, etc.) to drive readiness
- Active leadership in the field during execution of assigned work scope
- Ability to work all shifts including night shift to support RXS scope of work
- Capture LL and drive improvements in fleet/site processes
- Develop schedules and durations for RXS scope of work
- Participating in WAR rooms for RXS emergent issues
