Location: Travel across assigned portfolio
About the RoleSPM, LLC is looking for an Operations Specialist to support consistency and performance across a portfolio of communities. This role is built for someone who thrives on variety — one week you're auditing files at a Tax Credit property, the next you're helping a new Community Manager get their arms around move-in season. If you know property operations inside and out and want to use that knowledge across multiple sites instead of just one, this is your next step.
WhatYou'll Do
- Travel to assigned communities to support day-to-day operations, from leasing activity to resident account management
- Conduct file audits and self-audits to confirm compliance with program requirements (Tax Credit, HUD, Section 8, and Conventional as applicable)
- Partner with Community Managers and Assistant Managers on training, process consistency, and problem-solving
- Support NSPIRE readiness and physical inspection preparation
- Identify operational gaps and help implement corrective action plans
- Report findings and progress to the RPM and other stakeholders
- Step in to provide on-site coverage at communities as needed
- Prior experience in multifamily property management (Community Manager or Assistant Manager background preferred)
- Working knowledge of Affordable Housing programs (Tax Credit, HUD, Section
8) and/or Conventional operations - Comfort with property management software platforms
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail — you catch what others miss
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly across the assigned portfolio
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to working with on-site teams
SPM, LLC manages 170+ communities across 12+ states, spanning Conventional, Affordable, and Student Housing portfolios.
