Summary Of Duties

Responsible for the business development, administration, and overall operations of all long term acute care hospitals with emphasis on solid financial programs, quality service, strong operating systems, and effective marketing/sales programs, in accordance with established plans, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Serves as Administrator at Noland's hospitals as assigned.

Responsible for the business development, administration, and overall operations of all long term acute care hospitals with emphasis on solid financial programs, quality service, strong operating systems, and effective marketing/sales programs, in accordance with established plans, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Serves as Administrator at Noland's hospitals as assigned.

• Develops and implements strategic and long-range goals for hospitals based upon community and organization needs.
• Oversees operations for hospitals in a quality and cost conscious manner, ensuring that decisions are sound, fair, and consistent with the established goals and according to various national, state, and local statutes.
• Administers contracts to include the assessment of financial implications of current and proposed contracts and works with others to operationalize terms of the agreement.
• Develops and implements a plan to monitor hospital performance. Defines methods to identify and investigate problems and take corrective action. Measures performance against budget and productivity standards and established goals and objectives.
• Participates in the development of capital and operating budgets.
• Meets with President to discuss the financial status, capital expenditures, goals and objectives, long-range plans and laws, codes and regulations governing hospital operations.
• Develops and implements long-range plans for expansion of hospital operations efforts and Noland Health Services, and assists the President in coordinating Noland Health Services development efforts.
• Recruits and provides direction and leadership to management to assure growth and development of the individual as a facility manager. Establishes and monitors a management development plan, and communicates expectations.
• Resolves conflicts within the hospital division and investigates complex problems or issues posing significant financial or legal impact on organization.
• Attends to administrative duties, including the signing of documents and preparation of reports.
• Prepares and presents market and feasibility studies as requested.
• Approves policies and procedures that govern the operation of long term acute care hospitals.
• Makes written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the operations of long term acute care hospitals.
• Participates in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies and applicable accrediting agencies and ensure compliance as required.
• Participates in all Medical Executive Committee meetings.
• Directs and manages special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Master's degree in business administration, health care administration, or equivalent required. Minimum of ten years executive level experience in health care administration. Five years of executive level experience in a long term hospital environment preferred.
