Working closely with Planning, Safety, Maintenance, and other internal partners, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for your contractors and play a key role in their overall success

HOW YOU'LL WORK:

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

COMPENSATION: Competitive compensation package. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process.

BENEFITS: Comprehensive benefits package including:

  • Prescription drug coverage and telemedicine services
  • Company-paid life and disability insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Paid parental leave
  • Voluntary benefits and employee discount programs

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with independent contractors, serving as their primary point of contact.
  • Coordinate freight movement by assigning loads, monitoring progress, and ensuring service commitments are met.
  • Communicate proactively with contractors and internal teams to resolve issues and minimize service disruptions.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and contractual requirements.
  • Review settlements, billing, and chargeable events to ensure financial accuracy and protect profitability.
  • Partner with Planning, Safety, Maintenance, and other departments to support contractor success and operational efficiency.
  • Coach contractors through performance, service, and safety challenges while promoting long‑term engagement and retention.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or contractor management.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and build strong working relationships without direct authority.
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations and independent contractor operations.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience managing independent contractor or agent‑based fleets.
    • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and contractor management platforms.
    • Experience in flatbed, specialized, or over‑the‑road transportation operations.
    • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments while balancing operational and customer service priorities.
