Metal Finisher – Tech​/Class A GP

Job Overview

• Ability to work in a team environment or independently to perform duties with little supervision.
• Ability to communicate with team members on all shifts and possess good mathematical and organizational skills.
• The ability to identify severe defects such as high spots, lows and deep slivers.
• The ability to use various hand tools such as body files, flat files, bow files, grinder, and sander.
• The ability to effectively use high‑lite oil to verify all rework/surface condition.
• The ability to determine when a defect is repairable or should be scrapped.

Ability to lift 40 pounds and to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time in a manufacturing environment.

Basic departmental hand tools, personal protective equipment, and may include computer and scanning.

High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. 6‑12 months of relevant experience.

• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety requirements.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic understanding of weld terminology.

New Hire Orientation, OSHA Required Training, Product and Process Overview, Understanding the Charter, Lean Manufacturing Overview, 5S & Visual Management, Business Management System, KAMTEK Label Standards, Tip Change Procedure, Robot Fundamentals, Basic Workstation Panel views, Scanner training.

Performance assessment conducted by Team/Area/Dept. Leader.
