Job Responsibilities- Ability to work in a team environment or independently to perform duties with little supervision.
- Ability to communicate with team members on all shifts and possess good mathematical and organizational skills.
- The ability to identify severe defects such as high spots, lows and deep slivers.
- The ability to use various hand tools such as body files, flat files, bow files, grinder, and sander.
- The ability to effectively use high‑lite oil to verify all rework/surface condition.
- The ability to determine when a defect is repairable or should be scrapped.
Ability to lift 40 pounds and to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time in a manufacturing environment.
Equipment & ToolsBasic departmental hand tools, personal protective equipment, and may include computer and scanning.
Knowledge, Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. 6‑12 months of relevant experience.
Skills & Abilities- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety requirements.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic understanding of weld terminology.
New Hire Orientation, OSHA Required Training, Product and Process Overview, Understanding the Charter, Lean Manufacturing Overview, 5S & Visual Management, Business Management System, KAMTEK Label Standards, Tip Change Procedure, Robot Fundamentals, Basic Workstation Panel views, Scanner training.
Job Progress MonitoringPerformance assessment conducted by Team/Area/Dept. Leader.
