Estimator - Manufacturing Industry

Location: Birmingham, AL | Onsite | Full-Time

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000

Our client, a growing manufacturing company, is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to support pricing, cost analysis, and project planning efforts. This role is critical in evaluating production costs, driving accurate quoting, and partnering cross‑functionally to ensure competitive and profitable bids.

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and production processes
• Review drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to develop quotes
• Partner with engineering, operations, and procurement to gather cost inputs
• Analyze historical data, quotes, and market trends to ensure pricing accuracy
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and recommend process improvements
• Support RFQs, bid proposals, and customer pricing discussions
• Maintain and update costing models, databases, and documentation

• 3+ years of experience in estimating, costing, or manufacturing finance
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Proficiency in Excel (cost modeling, data analysis) and ERP systems
• Ability to interpret technical drawings/specifications is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross‑functionally
