• Promote safe work environments through example; good housekeeping & effective safety meetings
• Train and cross‑train team members
• Communicate important shift information, production issues, concerns and needs with proper personnel
• Motivate team members
• Handle Kronos timekeeping if shift manager is not available
• Complete routine equipment care inspections
• Oversee the processing of steel with high regard given to safety, quality & efficiency
• Keep accurate QMOS information
• Promote respect and dignity of the individuals
• Meet or exceed customer requirements
• Attend required meetings
• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment
• Develop team and effective team building
• Complete required paperwork

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work rotating shifts which include nights, weekends, and holidays
• Some overtime will be required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast‑paced environment with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Must be able to learn quickly and multitask
• Ability to work in extreme heat

• High School Diploma or GED required
