Job Description
Summary/Objective
The Internal Sanitation Technician position is a key member of the Quality Control Team responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the plant that product is utilized (syrup room, fillers, lines, silos, etc.
Essential Functions

· Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. Position is required to work all hours necessary to ensure operations function is fulfilled, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
· Required to clean and sanitize all areas of the plant that product is utilized - syrup room, fillers, lines, silos, etc.
· Requires long periods of standing and walking while using a pressure sprayer (approximately 25#). This includes awkward positions utilized to clean on and or around machines.
· Required to plate samples from filler valves after sanitation.
· Requires handling to operate spray.
· Required to climb steps to go to designated place.
· Required to climb ladder 1-2 times daily.
· Must document all line sanitation.
· Must be able to work in steamy areas, and be able to safely conduct Clean-in-Place processes which utilize water at extremely hot temperatures.
· Required to use chemicals and be familiar with possible chemical reactions.
· Clean, sanitize and dump warmers.
· Required to work with maintenance for any issues or troubleshooting needs
· Food Safety:
Required to follow the Good Manufacturing Program (GMP) as listed in Code of Federal Regulations CFE 21 section 110. Requires participation in various Food Safety related training that Buffalo Rock utilizes. Required to report potential issues related to Food Safety.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
· Must exhibit a high level of ethical and moral conduct while at work or in attendance of any off-site function during work hours or after work hours while representing the Buffalo Rock Company.
· Responsible for continuous self-improvement through the knowledge and use of all Buffalo Rock provided training, either web-based, in-house, or any other provided method. Must successfully complete assigned training curriculum, including but not limited to online and/or facilitated training.
· Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect the Company from possible damages, theft, or other liabilities.
· Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect the safety of employee-partners, self, customers, Buffalo Rock property, and customer property.

Chemistry
