Altec is hiring welders for the Birmingham, AL area. 2nd shift runs 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Starting pay is $24.62/hour with verifiable experience. Welders will perform welding, metal preparation, and assembly of custom truck bodies for hydraulic utility equipment.
Responsibilities include reading blueprints, welding with MIG or TIG processes, and ensuring quality workmanship while following safety procedures. Opportunity to advance with AWS D1.1 certification within 60 days of placement.
