Production Supervisor – 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Oversee the workflow at our facilities
• Focus on meeting production goals, quality, safety, people leadership, engagement, and cost objectives
• Responsible for performance management including direction setting, accountability, coaching, feedback, performance reviews, and development
• Monitor the production process utilizing Red Zone and by engaging with the area team on the floor
• Escalate production issues and communicate within a timely manner
• Plan, organize, and delegate work assignments to accommodate schedules and best utilize manpower and equipment
• Complete administrative tasks such as interviewing new team members, planning & scheduling, safety reporting, and system entries
• Ensure product specifications are met and notify production manager and quality assurance if product quality is questioned
• Resolve quality issues through personnel training and enforcement of standards
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 3-5 years as front line supervisor in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Experience in food manufacturing facilities and knowledge of GMP's, HACCP, and sanitation practices is helpful
• Must possess knowledge of the manufacturing environment
• Skill set of strong leadership capability and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross functionally and upwards
• Skill set must include strong analytical ability, observation, and coaching skills
• Ability to motivate, lead, and engage employees
• Excellent problem solving skills and strong work ethic
