Sheet Metal Worker

If so, this position could be a great fit for you. Our client is looking for someone who has experience using manufacturing hand tools and is confident working with metal components or sheet metal.

Monday-Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm
Friday 7:30am to 12.30pm

• Carry out bench fettling, deburring and finishing of precision thin gauge sheet metal components.
• Dress and blend welds to customer and engineering specifications.
• Polish exotic metal components to the required surface finish.
• Set and fit finished parts to castings and/or gauges using metalwork techniques.
• Safely operate handheld pneumatic tools, belt linishing equipment and other bench finishing tools.
• Use measuring equipment to inspect and verify components against engineering drawings and specifications.

• Well-versed using a range of manufacturing hand tools
• Confident completing hands-on manufacturing tasks with metal components or sheet metal (deburring/fettling/linishing/air grinding etc)
• Positive attitude with the willingness to learn
