The Screen Printer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Birmingham, AL. The Screen Printer will prepare artwork and screens, mix inks, set up presses, and produce high-quality prints on garments and other promotional items. Daily tasks include operating screen printing equipment, monitoring print quality and color accuracy, and performing routine maintenance and cleaning of presses and workstations. The role also involves working closely with the design and production teams to meet deadlines, follow job specifications, and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
The Screen Printer will assist with inventory of printing materials, help maintain a safe and organized production environment, and support occasional embroidery and other print-related tasks as needed.
- Strong skills in Screen Printing and Printing, with experience operating manual or automatic presses.
- Knowledge of Print Production processes, including ink mixing, curing, and quality control.
- Ability to work with Print Design files and artwork preparation for screens (e.g., color separations, layout adjustments).
- Basic understanding of Embroidery processes and willingness to assist with embroidery production when needed.
- Attention to detail, color accuracy, and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality work.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work safely with production equipment.
- Strong time management skills and ability to follow job tickets and meet production deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with design, sales, and production team members.
- Previous experience in a print shop or promotional products environment is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in printing or graphic arts is a plus.
