We're seeking a Marketing & Business Development Assistant to support marketing and business development initiatives across the BMSS Family of Companies. This role plays a key part in increasing brand visibility, strengthening client and center-of-influence relationships, and supporting strategic growth efforts. This position can be based out of either our Birmingham or Mobile office locations.

If you enjoy coordinating projects, managing digital content, supporting events, and contributing to creative marketing initiatives, this position offers hands‑on exposure to a wide range of audience engagement strategies in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

• Coordinate and facilitate client and COI gifting initiatives
• Purchase and distribute gift cards for marketing growth initiatives
• Oversee the creation, resizing, and submission of advertising artwork to various publications
• Maintain historical awards submission records, manage the annual awards calendar, and prepare submissions for organizations and industry publications
• Monitor new website leads and provide updates during department‑wide meetings
• Develop and manage social media content across platforms
• Ghostwrite and/or source articles and FAQs supporting BMSS' Top 10 industry niches to enhance SEO performance
• Maintain and update the marketing Outlook task list
• Support a variety of graphic design projects
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Facebook, Twitter/X, Linked In, Instagram, and Word Press in daily responsibilities

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Canva and social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter/X, Linked In, and Instagram
• Working knowledge of Word Press
• Creative mindset with the ability to support both strategic and tactical marketing initiatives
