Marketing Specialist, Advisor Branding

Every Advisor who joins RFG Advisory is building something from scratch: a firm name, a visual identity, a website, a voice. The Marketing Specialist, Advisor Branding is the person who guides that build. This is a creative and strategic role for someone who can sit across from an Advisor, help them articulate who they are and who they serve, and then own the entire brand development process through to launch.

Senior Director, Advisor Marketing Strategy What You'll DoAdvisor Brand Strategy & Discovery Lead the brand discovery process for every new Advisor from marketing kickoff through the full development phase, establishing their voice, positioning, niche, values, and visual direction before any creative work begins.

Develop a clear brand brief for each Advisor that drives every creative decision that follows.

Guide Advisors through the brand development process with clarity and confidence; many have never built a brand before and need a consultant who can translate abstract ideas into concrete creative direction.

Identify each Advisor's Ideal Client Profile during discovery and use it to inform messaging, copy, and visual direction throughout onboarding.

Creative Direction & Design Review Review all creative deliverables from the external creative partner against the Advisor's brand brief before anything reaches the Advisor.

Evaluate brand concepts with a trained design eye: color palette logic, typography hierarchy, logo mark strength, visual consistency, and how the system holds across digital and print applications.

Provide structured, specific creative feedback that references the brief and advances the work.

Enforce RFG brand isolation standards; no visual identifiers, color systems, or creative elements are shared across Advisor firms under any circumstances.

AI-Assisted Copywriting & Content Development Use AI writing tools to produce first-draft Advisor copy across all onboarding deliverables including website copy, bios, service descriptions, social profiles, and campaign content.

Build and maintain a prompt library specific to the Advisor brand and onboarding function; prompts should produce Advisor-differentiated output, not generic financial services copy.

Edit and refine AI-generated drafts with a sharp editorial eye; the output that reaches an Advisor must read as written by someone who knows their story.

Develop AI workflows that reduce time from site visit to first draft to under 48 hours for standard onboarding deliverables.

Advisor Onboarding Lifecycle Ownership Own the full Advisor marketing onboarding lifecycle from kickoff through Primetime launch; serve as the Advisor's primary point of contact for brand, creative, and marketing throughout.

Manage onboarding timelines against each Advisor's Primetime date; maintain an accurate onboarding tracker and deliver weekly status updates to the Senior Director.

Conduct a pre-Primetime readiness check before launch; confirm all platforms, brand assets, and compliance approvals are in place.

Manage multiple simultaneous onboarding cycles without loss of quality, communication, or timeline discipline.

Digital Platform Setup & Vendor Management Coordinate website build and content workflows with the development partner; deliver a complete package of brand assets, approved copy, photography, and credentials before the build begins.

Build and submit email signatures; set up and configure all required social media profiles in accordance with RFG compliance guidelines.

Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for the external creative and website development partners; communicate all project briefs, revision feedback, and approvals in writing.

Track vendor deliverable schedules and escalate delays to the Senior Director before a Primetime date is pliance Coordination Ensure all Advisor-facing marketing materials meet SEC Rule 206(4)-1 and applicable FINRA standards before submission to compliance review.
