The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Kettle Coordinator for the Alabaster Corp, located in Alabaster, AL.
Job Summary –Recruits, trains, coordinates, andmonitorsthe work of employee and volunteer bell ringers ensuring ample staff tomeet location needs; prepares records and reportsregardingthe same.
This is a seasonal position.

-Knowledge of volunteer recruitment methods and practices. - Ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision.
- Ability to prepareaccurateand complete records and reports.
- Ability to build andmaintaineffective working relationships with volunteers and staff.
- Ability tomaintainvolunteerand financial database.
Education and Experience –High School Diploma or G.E.D. and one-year experience working with kettle fund raising programs preferred. Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications –Valid Driver’s License is required for this position.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
-Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved bybriefofoccasional periods of standing or walking. Duties included extensive driving to and from kettle locations,50-75% of work time. Limited amount of effortrequiredassociated with walking, standing,lifting and carrying equipment (less than 40 lbs.) 5-10% of work time. Work is performed in and out of the office and in a wide variety of weather conditions.
Dressing appropriately is important forremainingsafe and comfortable.
